It was used extensively by the RAF and Commonwealth air forces and by the\u00a0USAAF. The Beaufighter was derived from the\u00a0Beauforttorpedo bomber, itself a derivative of the Blenheim.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525;\">In 1940 a\u00a0shadow factory\u00a0was set up at\u00a0Weston-super-Mare\u00a0for the production of Beaufighters.
