Among the wreckage, found the three aircraft engines.\u00a0These engines are Alfa Romeo\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Variant\u00a0126 RC.34.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #252525;\">Alfa Romeo built\/designed a range of aircraft engines based on the\u00a0<\/span>Bristol Jupiter<span style=\"color: #252525;\">\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>Bristol Pegasus<span style=\"color: #252525;\">\u00a0designs, designated\u00a0<\/span><b style=\"color: #252525;\">Alfa 125<\/b><span style=\"color: #252525;\">,\u00a0<\/span><b style=\"color: #252525;\">Alfa 126<\/b><span style=\"color: #252525;\">,\u00a0<\/span><b style=\"color: #252525;\">Alfa 127<\/b><span style=\"color: #252525;\">,\u00a0<\/span><b style=\"color: #252525;\">Alfa 128<\/b><span style=\"color: #252525;\">,\u00a0<\/span><b style=\"color: #252525;\">Alfa 129<\/b><span style=\"color: #252525;\">\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span><b style=\"color: #252525;\">Alfa 131<\/b><span style=\"color: #252525;\">. The most common were R for\u00a0<\/span><i style=\"color: #252525;\">Riduttore<\/i><span style=\"color: #252525;\">\u00a0&#8211; reduction gear and C for\u00a0<\/span><i style=\"color: #252525;\">Compressore<\/i><span style=\"color: #252525;\">\u00a0&#8211; compressor\/supercharger, followed by a number indicating the rated altitude in hundreds of metres, two speed superchargers were indicated by a double figure such as 10\/34. It served as a transport and postal aircraft with the Italian airline &#8220;Ala Littoria&#8221;. It established 10 world records in 1936 and another 10 in 1937.<\/span><span style=\"color: #252525;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">During\u00a0World War II\u00a0it was used as a reconnaissance aircraft, bomber and\u00a0air-sea rescue\u00a0plane, by the\u00a0Italian\u00a0<\/span><i style=\"color: #252525;\">Regia Aeronautica<\/i><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span><i style=\"color: #252525;\">Regia Marina<\/i><span style=\"color: #000000;\">, Aeronautica Cobelligerante del Sud,\u00a0Aeronautica Nazionale Repubblicana\u00a0and the\u00a0<\/span><i style=\"color: #252525;\">Luftwaffe<\/i><span style=\"color: #000000;\">. The military version revealed itself to be one of the best floatplanes ever built.
